Tertiary treatment
Tertiary treatment separates the floating and colloidal substances that may remain after the primary or secondary treatment. AQUA Industrial Watertreatment provides a few techniques to remove the remaining dirt.
- Curieau®
- Precipitation
During precipitation, dissolved inorganic substances precipitate with the help of chemical reactions. This is a useful process to for example, extract phosphates and sulphides from the water by using Ferric and/or aluminium.
- Oxidation
Pollutants which are difficult to degrade can be converted by strong oxidants into an easily degradable or extractable substance.
- Adsorption
Certain pollutants can be extracted by adsorption with activated carbon.
- Ion replacement
Harmful ions that are difficult to remove will be replaced by harmless ions. The ion exchanger will become saturated after a period. After cleaning, a concentrated solution of harmful ions remains.
- Desinfection
Viruses and bacteria can be eliminated or inactivated by oxidation or radiation with UV light.
- Bleaching
The technique of bleaching is often part of the primary or secondary treatment. Depending on the die or vcolorant, AQUA Industrial Watertreatment applies one of the afore mentioned techniques.
